Review:
Let's get a-writing, shall we? To start, I'm obsessed with the VA world and all things Sydrian. To put it simply, I was enthralled by this book.
For most of the book, Sydney is in the reeducation center. And the separation between her Adrian was killer. But it made their reunion all the more fantastic. Before the book came out I wrote a little fanfic scene between Adrian and Rowena. It was how I thought it would go. And when I read the scene between them in the book I was kind of freaked out by how similar my scene and the real scene were. It was odd. But good that I was able to capture their relationship CORRECTLY. But I digress.
I didn't think my opinion of the Alchemists could drop even lower, but then I read this book. Yeah, they are absolutely horrible and I honestly hope that Sydney brings them down. I can't even... They are just... What I can't believe the most is that her father sent her there. And he was fine with it. And her sister, I mean, wow, okay.
As for Sydney's older sister CARLY, can I just say, I LOVE YOU. And so does Marcus.
Adrian in this book made me love him even more. He's so considerate and sweet when it comes to Sydney that I can't even function. Ugh, like, you know?
AND OH MY GOSH THIS IS A SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT BUT COME ON IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE THE RELEASE SO I DON'T CARE... THEY GOT MARRIED!!!
YES. Sydrian is so canon that it can't even uncanon. <333 p="">
But honestly, that wedding and like the last few chapters of Silver Shadows made my life. I'm pretty sure I was screaming bloody murder when I read this book.
Richelle Mead never fails to deliver a beautifully written, suspensefully enigmatic story with wonderful characters who always manage to make you smile and laugh and maybe even cry a little.
If you're not reading her books, then you're doing something wrong.
