Review:

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Probably until I die. Sherrilyn Kenyon is my favorite author and I will read everything she ever writes.

That said, I loved Dragonbane. It is the thirty-first installment in the Dark Hunter-verse. Yeah. Wild right?! I love it. Well, if you want to get technical (and I don't), it's the twenty-sixth full novel.

The story focuses on Maxis Drago, a Katagaria Drakos, which is DH talk for were-dragon. Mhm. Amazing. He's hot, fiery, and insanely motivated to never see his mate Seraphina again. That is, until she lets it slip that she had his twin love-children and they are currently in need of being rescued by their daddy.

Epic battles, great sex, and falling in love all over again ensues. It was a page turner, one that kept me up most of the night. I always adore how familial-feeling each story gets. The wide cast of characters always come together to fight for one another, not mention throw wise-cracks at each other, and it never fails to warm my heart.

There were a few plot-twisty things in the book that seriously had me squealing with delight. One of the being -and this is a MAJOR SPOILER- Aimee is preggers!!! How fricking amazing is that one?! For long time fans of DH, I'm sure you were as beside yourselves as I was when I first read that illumination exchange in the beginning of the book.

Sherri's writing is action-packed, believable, and always full of that gooey, love-encrusted center that brings together not only the main hero/heroine, but also the rest of the wide family of amazing characters. The characterization and the ever-brilliant plots are what hold this wonderful story world together.

I was super excited for this book after reading the last DH book  Son of No One. It featured Maxis's brother Illarion and I fell for him big time. Speak of, his book is coming next! I'll do a post about it when the time approaches.
